Everything You Need to Know Before Your Chile Fly Fishing Trip

Coyhaique, located in the heart of Chilean Patagonia, offers some of the world’s most pristine and diverse waters for fly fishing. With untouched rivers, spring creeks, lagoons, and lakes surrounded by stunning landscapes, Coyhaique is a world-class destination for anglers seeking wild trout adventures.
Most international anglers fly into Santiago, Chile (SCL) with major airlines like American Airlines, LATAM, Delta, or United. From Santiago, take a domestic flight to Balmaceda Airport (BBA) — a 2 hour and 20 minute journey. Upon arrival in Balmaceda, our team will be waiting to take you to your fishing lodge in Coyhaique. The fly fishing season in Coyhaique runs from October to April. Summer months (December to March) offer warmer temperatures and excellent hatches, while early and late season trips can offer bigger, more aggressive trout.
Our fly fishing trips in Coyhaique include six full days of guided fishing, seven nights of comfortable accommodation, daily breakfast, lunch by the river, and gourmet dinners. All beverages during fishing days are included, as well as 4×4 transportation to and from the best fishing spots.
